Is Digital Marketing Saturated in India?

Amazingly more and more people are using the internet and mobile phones. We also widely use it for purchasing products, checking reviews, comparing products, and what not! Do you remember searching "Best smartphone to buy under 20,000"? Yes I know, You do. Now think if few websites repeat again and again that XYZ phone is the best. Yup, now we are convinced, right? So mediums that involve anything to support businesses become a business by themselves. That's why the digital marketing scope in the Indian market will be valued at $160Billion by 2025. The majority of companies are allocating huge budgets to Inbound marketing. This revolves around marketing with strong content in the digital medium. Strong content includes blogs, graphics, influencers, videos, or any content which drives good to the business digitally. You’ll find thousands of so-called experts out there who claim to be digital marketers. Unbelievable numbers right? Digital marketing is not just managing some posts on social media or writing some blogs. It is more. From analyzing a business and understanding which medium would work amazing for that particular business to drive engagement/sales is not a cakewalk. Digital marketing is a super tiny segment in Marketing. If marketing was that easy, everyone can launch a product or service and make profits digitally, by now we would have had 100 Amazon. Showcasing your product/service to the right people at the right time outperforming the competitors = conversion. Sounds simple, but it is not actually that simple. Can you imagine if all the astronauts launch a website and start coaching on how to become astronauts in 3 months for 30$? This is what all the digital marketers are doing, As soon as they learn digital marketing soon they would realize the saturation and would prefer teaching digital marketing. Duh.... Anyone can learn digital marketing, but you can only gain something when you start implementing your learnings to the brand. Not one brand but a portfolio for brands.


Yes, digital marketing is over-saturated but still, I would ask you to learn or at least understand the basics. Who knows, you might start a cafe in your 40s and can take care of the entire online presence all by yourself! No skill you learn goes waste, it comes in work at the perfect time in your life.
